Stamp Duty Changes
The government has announced reduced rates of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) will apply for residential properties purchased from 8th July 2020 until March 2021 inclusive. If you purchase a residential property between these dates you only start to pay SDLT on the amount that you pay for the property above £500,000. The Help to Buy: Equity Loan for first time buyers and home movers is ending on the 31st March 2021. To qualify for this equity loan you must legally complete by 31st March 2021.

Planning Approved for 39 Affordable Homes in Royton
Planning chiefs have given permission for 39 new homes to be constructed at land off Edge Lane Street in Royton, which is currently overgrown and empty. The joint project by Wiggett Construction and the Great Places Housing Group will create high quality homes and increase the choice and range of housing available in Royton. Dwellings will be split between affordable rent and shared ownership.

Celebrating 40 Years of The Wiggett Group
The Wiggett Group celebrates 40 years of successful business this summer. The Group was founded by managing director, Phil Wiggett, in 1979; and in this time has survived three recessions, built circa 4,000 homes and recorded a turnover of over £20 million.
