Affordable housing occupancy criteria:
1. In order to satisfy the Occupancy Criteria a Qualifying Person/Qualifying Household must meet all of the following criteria as at the date of the sale of the Affordable Housing Unit:
1.1 A Qualifying Person/Qualifying Household must be on the Affordable Housing Waiting List
1.2 A Qualifying Person/Qualifying Household must have been resident within the Borough for a minimum of six months consecutively immediately prior to qualifying for Affordable Housing.
1.3 A Qualifying Person/Qualifying Household must not have current or former tenant’s arrears or have had their preference for re-housing removed through anti-social behaviour.
1.4 A Qualifying Person/Qualifying Household including any person forming part of the Qualifying Household must not own any other residential property at the time they are nominated by the Council to purchase an Affordable Housing Unit.
1.5 A Qualifying Person/Qualifying Household must use the property as their own main residential home, it cannot be rented out or sub-let or subject to licence or other arrangement.
