Budget News 2017

Good news for first time buyers in England! Chancellor Philip Hammond has announced as part of the Budget 2017 that stamp duty will be abolished immediately for first-time buyers buying a home of up to £300,000. For properties costing up to £500,000, no stamp duty will be paid on the first £300,000.

This will benefit a great deal of our customers, as many of our homes fall within the 'under £300,000' bracket and we have many buyers purchasing their first houses from Wiggett Homes.
